BEST WAY TO MAKE CHOCOLATE CAKE WITHOUT AN OVEN
Chocolate cake is something that is loved by all because of its rich and creamy texture. This recipe for chocolate cake is very easy and quick to make. Chocolate is the main ingredient for making a fudgy chocolate cake. If you are a big fan of chocolate then you can also add chocolate chips to the mixture. INGREDIENTS:
- All-purpose flour – ¾ cup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Cocoa powder – 3 tbsp
- Salt – ½ tsp
- Baking soda – ½ tsp
- Instant coffee (optional) – ½ tsp
- Full-fat milk (room temperature) – ½ cup
- Hot water – ½ cup
- Vegetable oil – ¼ cup
- Egg – 1
- Vanilla extract/essence – 1 tsp
- Butter (room temperature) – 3 tbsp
METHOD:
- From the lid of a pressure cooker, remove the weight and filter.
- Place the pressure cooker on the stovetop on low flame, and add 1 cup of salt. Place a heat-proof pot or a small steel bowl at the bottom.
- Cover and preheat the cooker for 5 mins on medium flame.
- Take a big bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together, and set this aside.
- Now add the egg, vanilla extract/essence, milk, and hot coffee water to the dry ingredients.
- Mix all the ingredients until well combined or you can beat it on slow speed for 1 minute.
- Pour this mixture into a greased pan. Tap it to remove air bubbles from the mixture.
- Carefully place the cake mixture/batter into the pressure cooker.
- Cover the cooker with the lid and bake for 5 minutes on medium flame first.
- Then bake the cake for 35-40 minutes on low heat.
- After 35 minutes insert a toothpick to check if the cake is done. If it comes out clean then the cake is done and if it does not then again bake the cake for another 5-10 minutes on medium flame.
- Remove the cake from the pressure cooker after it is done, and let it cool down completely for about 10 minutes.
- Frost it with your favorite flavor of frosting or with a scoop of ice cream but it’s totally optional.
