INGREDIENTS:

  • Onions(petals)- 1 medium
  • Capsicum(cubed) – 1 medium 
  • Garlic (chopped) - 6-7 cloves
  • Green chillies(thinly sliced)- 2
  • Spring onions ( white portion) chopped– 2
  • Spring onions ( chopped green portion) for garnishing – 1 tbsp

FOR MARINATION:

  • Boneless chicken (cut into small pieces)- 300 grams
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Crushed pepper powder- ½ tsp
  • Corn flour – 2 tbsp
  • All-purpose flour (Maida) – 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp 
  • Egg – 1 

OTHER INGREDIENTS AND SAUCES:

  • Red chili sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce -1 tbsp 
  • Green chili sauce- 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar -1 tsp 
  • Corn flour slurry- 1 tbsp corn flour mixed in 2 tbsp of water
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt for seasoning

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut the boneless chicken into small pieces and wash it properly.
  2.  Marinate the pieces with the described items.
  3.  Mix nicely and set it aside for 30 minutes.
  4. Finely chop the garlic, and spring onions and slice the green chilies.
  5.  Make petals of one onion & cut the green capsicum into cubes.
  6.  Add oil to a kadhai and fry the chicken pieces till golden color. Remove it from the oil and keep that aside.

 PROCESS:

  1. Now take a small wok or kadhai & put 2 tbsp oil in it.
  2. Now the finely chopped garlic, stir for a few seconds, and then add the white chopped spring onions. 
  3. Mix everything properly & then add the sliced green chilies. Stir everything well and then add the onion petals and cubed capsicum. Fry for around 1 minute till they are still crisp on high flame .
  4. Now add in all the sauces in the sautéed veggies. Stir fry on medium heat for about 1 min.
  5. Add the previously fried chicken pieces and mix well so that everything is well combined.
  6. Now add the corn flour slurry and stir everything again.
  7. Add a little splash of water if required.
  8. Cook for another few minutes & garnish with chopped green spring onion.
  9. Serve with rice or noodles. Enjoy!
